ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL PATHOLOGY is the specialty of dentistry and discipline of Pathology that deals with the nature, identification, and management of diseases affecting the oral and maxillofacial region.
As such, it occupies a unique position in the health care community for both the dental and medical professions.
Our aim is to provide accurate diagnosis for different types of diseases. The department functions in conjunction with hematology providing basic data required to begin any appropriate treatment. The diagnosis submitted by us aids the surgeons to have insight into disease process, give adequate treatment thereby improving the prognosis.A team of laboratory technicians with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, guided by senior oral pathologist, ensure the quality and accuracy of the diagnostic results.
It is said "as is your pathology, so is practice" with this principle we strive to make our students a competent practitioner to excel in all branches of dentistry.
